American born and much beloved Folk artists Edward Hicks has a rather large body of work. A Peaceable Kingdom is one of 61 re-creations he produced of this theme. Though it is not considered a religious image, The Peaceable Kingdom was greatly influenced by the Bible and Quaker qualities.
